🌻 Why Heavenly Shade Matters 🌻
When I started Heavenly Crumbs in 2024, it was my way of honoring my mom—my best friend and my lifeline. After a fierce 9-month battle with melanoma, we lost her at just 58 years old. The impact of melanoma never truly leaves a family. Its damage reaches far beyond the diagnosis.
While emerging research suggests skin cancer is more complex than sun exposure alone, protecting our skin from UV rays remains important. At the same time, growing concerns have been raised about many commercial sunscreens and the chemicals they contain. Some ingredients have been linked to hormone and endocrine disruption, increased skin sensitivity, and unnecessary chemical exposure.
