August 17, 2024 — the day Chef SweetLadyR began.
August 17, 2026 — TWO YEARS. 🤍
Today, I’m celebrating more than a business anniversary. I’m celebrating the sacrifices, lessons, late nights, victories, opportunities, and incredible people who helped turn my dream into something real.
In two years, Chef SweetLadyR has grown from a catering dream into so much more — MWBE Certified, ICA Certified, luxury multicultural catering, Guyanese Style Dirty Soda, Dirty Soda Fit Bar, Global Fit Kitchen, meal prep, wellness concepts, and now our Little Chefs Coloring Book.
But none of this was built alone.
To Anil, thank you for carrying so much behind the scenes and believing in me through it all.
To Dailiya, you are my greatest inspiration and a huge part of the legacy I’m building.
To my family, village, team, clients and supporters — every booking, referral, share, recommendation, prayer and word of encouragement mattered.
We made it through the first two years. And when I say WE, I mean it.
Now we begin Chapter Three.
Two years ago, I started with a dream.

Behind every meal I create is a story.

A story of sleepless nights.
A story of sacrifice.
A story of never giving up, even when it would have been easier to walk away.

Chef SweetLadyR wasn’t built overnight.

It was built one event at a time.
One client at a time.
One prayer at a time.

There were days I questioned myself. Days I was exhausted. Days I wanted to quit. But every time someone trusted me to be part of their wedding, birthday, graduation, or family celebration, it reminded me why I started.

Today, I have the opportunity of a lifetime.

I’m currently in the Quarter-Finals of the Favorite Chef competition, and I’m fighting for a place in the Semi-Finals.

This isn’t just about winning.

It’s about showing my daughter that dreams are worth fighting for.

It’s about representing my Guyanese heritage, my culture, my family, and every small business owner who’s ever wondered if their hard work would one day be enough.

It’s about proving that no dream is too big when you have people who believe in you.

So today, I’m asking—not as a business owner, but as a woman with a dream.
