So, it's cold again! Yuck! But what better way to deal with it than eating a warm, hearty bean soup?
This week I am making a White Bean Soup with roasted tomatoes, italian sausage, kale and some other lovely veggies.
$10. qt. AND the first three people who ask can order a loaf of homemade sourdough bread to go with! Total for both is $20.!
Scones this week are Coconut Lime, Chocolate Chip, and Blueberry. $18./dz.

Hi Folks! I've been busy with some other jobs the past couple of weeks but this week I am all about the kitchen!!
For a yummy fall soup (it actual is SUPPOSED to cool down by Friday...) I am offering a curried cream of butternut squash soup. 10/qt. (chicken stock based.)
For dinner I am making chicken pot pie (order early because I might be limiting numbers) 20.
Sweet pie is apple crumb. 20.

Hi all you lovely friends! I was happy to be busy in the kitchen this week! Thanks to everyone who has thought of me for your events and weekend scone binges! I totally appreciate your business and your support!
I also have been being really good about keeping homemade bread in the house. It's a good practice of routine and very satisfying. Now if the weather would just cool off it might be actually pleasant to have the oven on everyday!
This week I am offering a White Bean Soup with Kale from my garden and Nature's Own Bacon. $10.qt.
Also a Super Greens Galette with spinach, kale and chard, artichokes and ricotta, leeks, and garlic. $20.

Hi Buddies! I am all about being back to business this week! Got to buy all new windows for our fixer upper so I'm sure you can wolf down at least a box of scones this weekend, right?!!
Here we go!
For soup we have a delicious Roasted Tomato with farmers market plum tomatoes and my own backyard basil. Chicken Stock based.
$10/qt.

Casserole is a hearty and smoky homemade baked beans with or without bacon lattice top (vegan). Please specify when ordering. $20.

Scones are Strawberry, Glazed Key Lime, and Bacon Cheddar. $18/dz.

Hi Friends!
I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! We have been here and there, but are home this week and I thought I would put it out there that I am baking scones for the weekend for Friday or Saturday.
I can arrange delivery or you can pick up at my house.
The three available kinds this week are Glazed Key Lime, Chocolate Chip, and Strawberry. $18/dz.
(No mixed boxes, sorry.)

Hey! I've had something going on most every week and since my eldest just left last night for Cabo Verde (google it, I had to. A very nice place to be working for the summer!) I'm back to baking..at least scones for this week! And I will be delivering Thursday instead of Friday because of the holiday.

Hello! After a bit of a sabbatical and a spring break filled with the sniffles and the straight up flu (and a wonderful trip to Virginia) I will be back to the oven this week. Sorry I've been gone so long!!
This week I'm offering my soul satisfying African Groundnut Stew with chicken, peanuts, sweet potatoes, collards, cilantro and jalapeños. $10./qt.

This week in the kitchen I am making (for all you desperate strep and flu carrying souls) Magic Chicken Soup, guaranteed to cure what ails ya! Full of chicken, carrots, celery, scallions, fresh ginger, cilantro, lime and a few jalapeños in a bright clear broth! $10/qt.

Hey there Sweethearts!!
Due to the shortened week, (at least for the Mustard Seed families), I will be offering a shortened menu for this week and delivery to school will be on Thursday afternoon instead of Friday. If you would like to pick up at my house, Friday would work.
This week I am making a hearty Lentil Stew with a 24 hr. chicken stock, Kale, Sweet Potatoes, Tomatoes and Fennel. $10/qt.
Flourless Chocolate Cake $20.

Back to baking this week! This wet and dreary weather is inspiring me to make some good comfort food.
Offering a roasted cream of cauliflower soup with a rich long simmered vegetable stock. $10./qt.
For dinner I am making a delicious casserole! A white chicken chili with roasted tomatillos and poblanos under a baked honey cornbread topping. $20.
Sweet pie is sour cherry tart with lattice top (getting romantic :) ) $20.
Scones are chocolate chip, orange cream glazed, and fresh sour cherry. $18/dz.

This week I am working again (actually I am always working, but this week I am hoping to make some $!)
My soup this week thanks to Cinthia Santos is Split Pea with Smoked Ham. $10/qt.
My casserole is Polenta with parmesan and parsley topped with my homemade tomato sauce (with my own canned tomatoes) with roasted peppers, fresh basil, kalamata olives and sweet sausage. $20. (I can also make this vegetarian if you'd like.)

Getting into the holiday spirit over here! I hope you are, too. Skip the mall and the bad fast food and order yourself some home cooked food for the weekend.

Back to the kitchen this week! Got the tree up and the rain is making me feel like some homemade Minestrone Soup!
Full of green beans, carrots, basil, pasta, beans, and some of our home canned tomatoes, $10./qt.
Also baking quiche this week, with mushrooms, arugula, and goat cheese. $20.

Went to the farmer's market yesterday and I was so inspired by all the beautiful squashes and rich dark greens that love this cool fall weather!
So, this week I am offering a rich creamy Butternut Squash soup started with a homemade chicken stock and finished with butter. 10./qt.
A nice choice to pair with the soup is a savory Green Galette with kale, arugula, spinach, artichokes, leeks, and goat cheese. 20.
For desserts I'm making a Pumpkin Tart. 18. and
Ginger Molasses cupcakes with Cream cheese frosting. 20./dz.

Hello Friends!! Welcome back to baking (and souping.)
It's nice to be back to work!
This weeks menu is appropriate for all you folks who have caught the sniffles with this crazy weather!
Today I am making a big pot of stock for Chicken Noodle Soup with fresh vegetables and egg noodles. $10. qt.
Also, a casserole of homemade (all the way, no canned beans for me) smoky Baked Beans with a bacon lattice top. $20.
Scones this week are Chocolate Chip, Strawberry, and Coconut Pecan. $18./dz.
And for those ready for fall flavors I am making an Apple Crumb Pie with apples picked by our own little hands. $20.
This week school is closed on Friday so I will be delivering to the park on Thursday afternoon. If you prefer Friday to get your order just let me know and we can work something out!

Local Honey!
After a few sad years of beekeeping I am happy to say this was a really good year! Finally got my labels and jars and I'm pleased to announce that I have local honey from a single rooftop in Jersey City Heights for sale again.
I had two monster hives that we harvested this August and I had some frames of fall honey that I finally got put up into jars, also. The fall honey is dark, mostly from the nectar of Japanese Knotweed that grows so wonderfully everywhere you look, even through concrete!
It is rich in antioxidants, has a strong tangy floral flavor and is perfect for fighting colds, keeping coughs down, and keeping you healthy.
The summer honey is a beautiful golden color and because I never heat it and only filter out the wax it is pure and raw and full of pollen. Super delicous and perfect if you struggle with allergies.
I have four basic sizes...
8 oz. (1/2 #)corked jar $8.
12 oz. bee hive jar $12.
16 oz. (1 lb.) corked jar $15.
I also have a few really large 2.5 lb. jars which are $30.
