Dear Fika Friends, it’s been a wonderful 6 years. I’m stepping away as owner in January. In transparency, ^ here’s a bit about what’s going on and what to expect.

We still look forward to seeing you over the coming months and the holiday season! Don’t worry, we wouldn’t leave our cherished community without a proper goodbye 💙

We’ve been quiet on the socials but only because we’ve been rocking in the kitchen. Special Finnish 🇫🇮 menu for our friends at Huckberry

We didn’t get nearly enough photos 🥵 but we had a blast making Seed Crisp bites, Karelian Pies, Gingersnaps with Bleu Cheese (iykyk) and more…

Kiitos Huckberry 💙

We’re so excited that Patsy Vannuyen (she/her, (pv/Patsy) Dolly PAWton Van Damme ) is bringing mahjong lessons to The Fika Table in October! It’s the perfect way to enjoy fika—in the company and joy of others.

From Patsy:
“I’ve been playing mahjong since 2018, and enjoy many events all around ATX. I love mahjong because you can create harmony from chaos, and with a bit of skill - you can prevent disaster!

I’ll teach the basics of Hong Kong mahjong while we play 2-4 hands. Come with an open mind to see if mahjong is for you! Mahjong originates from China, and there are many regional and household variants.”

Sign up and enjoy mahjong with an expert with a treat and coffee in hand!

Dates:
Thursday, Oct. 22 11 AM -1 PM
Thursday, Oct. 29 11AM - 1PM

Please note, seats are very limited! We are opening 4 spots per date for personalized instruction. Link in bio or https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mahjong-lessons-at-the-fika-table-tickets-2000053635263?utm_experiment=test_share_listing&aff=ebdsshios
