It's the last week of the month, and you know what that means...

Oatmeal Cream Pies are back!

If you've been around here for a while, you know these have become a monthly favorite. Soft, chewy oatmeal cookies filled with a fluffy vanilla marshmellow cream filling that tastes like the childhood classic—but homemade.

And can we talk about this month's Jalapeño Cheddar Focaccia for a second? 😍 So many of you asked me to turn our beloved Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough into a focaccia, and I finally did... and it's my new favorite bread to eat!

I recently sliced it open and made it into a sandwich, and it was incredible. The soft, airy sourdough focaccia paired with melty cheddar and just the right amount of jalapeño made the perfect base. Crispy edges, fluffy center, packed with flavor... it might just be my favorite way to enjoy it yet.

If you're looking for something different to add to your table this week, this makes the perfect sandwich or just sliced and slathered with butter! The wait is finally over... my Mockmill is here! 🌾🍞

After 6 months of waiting, my grain mill has finally arrived, and I couldn't be more excited.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be testing and tweaking recipes as I learn the ins and outs of baking with fresh milled flour.

My goal is to create breads that not only have the benefits and flavor of freshly milled grains, but also meet the standards you've come to expect from Drott's Handmade.

I can't wait to take you all along on this journey. Fresh milled bread has been on my heart for a long time, and I'm so excited to finally start experimenting and seeing where this leads.

And because I know many of you will be just as curious as I am... once I've had time to test and refine the recipes, I'll be looking for a few taste testers! 👀🍞

I'll make an official post when the time comes, but I'm thinking about choosing the first 3 people to comment to receive a loaf in exchange for their honest feedback before fresh milled breads officially hit the menu.

Thank you for always supporting my little bakery and cheering me on as I try new things. I truly love bringing you along for the process, and I can't wait to share these loaves with you soon.
