One of the things I love about trying new things is what it inspires. And that’s true for all things in life- but def in terms of baking… here’s a delish cookie baked based on that viral banana choc chip cookie we tried last week and it’s so good! (she added a touch of peanut butter-genius) Will def be adding to our Saturday cookie shop rotating lineup!🥜🍌

We are open for cookie walk ins Saturdays from 12-5 with an amazing variety of cookies… today’s cookies are inspired by Summer kickoff even though we are still wearing sweatshirts and beanies.🤣

I am about one month out from having surgery to repair a meniscus root tear in my left knee. As a result we are taking very minimal orders mid to end of June. 📣 If you have an order in with us already, we got you, but we will be keeping the rest of order taking mid June to a minimum. 👀
When my lower left leg started aching in December I wrote it off thinking ‘this month is always a lot of extra standing- I’ll be fine.’ But by January I was full limping, the pain had moved to include my knee, and then I fell. 🙄 Its funny because I am one of the most un-atheletic person you will ever meet- KF says my bike riding reminds him of Kermit- so I was really surprised to find myself with an injury like this! But looking back, I’ve been working on on my feet since I started waiting tables and there was barely any sitting while prop and set styling for TV, then I started baking… turns out I stand up a lot and I’m pretty active. (Active like a muppet) This injury also comes with age.🩻
My official non weight bearing recovery assignment is 4 to 6 weeks (🤞for less) but I suspect I will be ready to bust out on my crutches as soon as I figure out how to use them🩼🍪🩼 and we are taking orders and scheduling cookie classes for a week after. My bigger picture healing goal is to be back on my rollerskates by Fall. (Meetup!!!🛼🛼)
