Today was a day out on delivery route, inspector's yearly visit at our bakery, lots of errands and I arrived home about an hour ago! What's a better way to relax then with crackers and dip on our bed!?!! 😋🩷

There's lots of fresh Baked Goods at our store....on honor system after hours!

69 loaves Salt Rising Bread are in the oven and proofer right now with some of it being pulled out of the oven shortly!
That makes 240 Loaves Bread (5 different kinds) made this week only!
On Friday after deliveries are made I'll make 3 or 6 loaves (I haven't quite decided yet) Whole Cell Crushed Wheat Bread.....that'll be the 6th kind) for this week!

As a Wife, Mom, Homeschool Mom, StoreOwner, Secretary, Baker, meals, laundry etc I hear the following words a lot:
"How do you do it?"
My Answer: "I have my family helping me and I hired a Cook, a Cleaner and a Baker! I don't do it all by myself...I couldn't do it all by myself."
It's a huge Blessing to have all this arrive from our hired Cook just now! She's such a tremendous help! Without her, I'm not sure I'd be able to make meals.... everything is cooked and we just need to heat it! Thank You so very much!

If I would have known that I'll be the only baker when I paid for our spot in Belfast this weekend, I would have been tempted to not sign up for it however with some baking ahead in order to not needing to bake everything the last couple days before the event, and some sacrifices, it's coming together! We are in the middle of switching Bakers because Kimberly needed more time with her family (understandably so) and Emma is starting the 2nd week in June and our Cleaner is in Florida with family at the moment! ☀️⛱️

There's still quite a few last touches needed for todays baking (glazing, cream cheese frosting, labels, and such however tomorrow we'll be doing that, making more Salt Rising Bread, Cookies and some more Pies for orders!

Last weeks 102 loaves Bread in 1 week was less than we usually do (we had less Bread on order last week than usual)! 🍞🍞🍞🍞
This weeks 148 loaves Bread, (3 kinds), between yesterday and today and not even counting the bread we'll make tomorrow and Thursday this week, is more the usual!🍞🍞🍞🍞

(56 of those loaves were made today as well as wash bakery dishes and spend some time with a friend that came to visit!)

How was your Memorial Day Weekend?! We hope you had a Wonderful Weekend and an Amazing time with your friends and family!
Sunday all our children came home! It was great to see everyone and spent some time with family!
Yesterday (Monday) we've baked 92 loaves Salt Rising Bread then went to a friend's house where more of our friends were and had an enjoyable time which ended with a bonfire and s'mores! It was a great time!

This week we will be baking and have a variety of baked goods in our store however if there's anything in particular that you would love to have, orders are a great way to make sure we have what you need!
We will also be at the corner of 19 and 305 in Belfast this weekend along with other vendors!

At the time of the picture the twins were the only ones that had eaten "their pieces" of Pie yet! 🥧
They each had 1 piece last night and 1 piece tonight!"....no one said how big their pieces were!!!!! 😋😂

Finding Bakers isn't always an easy Job because baking in a bakery is a lot more than baking in a kitchen. We had found 2 new Bakers (Melanie started right away and Emma can start in June).
The bakery Job ended up being more than Melanie expected and her school offered her a Job she needed for credits therefore she quit because she can't do both Jobs and since our former Baker Kim put her last day in last week so she can be home more to spend more time with her family, I've been the only baker this week. If someone would've told me I'll be the only baker for week of Memorial Day baking, I would've wondered if they knew what they were talking about because I've done the baking by myself in the past and it's simply a lot for one person, A Wife, Mom/Homeschool Mom!🙂
Nevertheless, this weeks baking is as follows:
✅ 5 Cheesecakes
✅ 48 Scones
✅ 22 Pies
✅ 102 loaves Bread
✅ 144 Sweet Rolls
✅ 534 Cookies
✅ Homeschool lessons done
✅ Baked Goods Orders fulfilled

✅ 96 Glazed Donut Holes
✅ James and Andrew at a graduation in Georgia 1/2 the week
