We’re bringing back more of your Bakewell Shoppe favorites this week. Our Multigrain Bread is BACK by popular request!

Last week’s weather kept a few of you from enjoying our Elote (Mexican Street Corn) Focaccia, so we’re making it again this Saturday!

Thoughtfully crafted with sweet corn and fresh tomatoes, then finished with smoky chipotle crema, salty Cotija cheese, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Find us at the Bakewell Shoppe walk-up window for another taste of this savory slice!

Yesterday’s weather may not have been ideal, and with some area events being canceled, we wanted to make the best of a rainy morning.

To everyone who came out to “Bakewell in the Brewery” — thank you for showing up, supporting our little bakery, and bringing your smiles! We loved seeing each of your faces and having the chance to serve you a little sweetness, even on a dreary day.

A very special thank you to Carolina Bauernhaus Brewery & Winery for welcoming us inside and providing a cozy space for us to set up. Your kindness helped make the morning extra special!

We’re so grateful for our community and the way you continue to show up for us, rain or shine. From our little walk-up window, thank you for being part of the Bakewell family!

Good morning, Bakewell friends!

Raindrops are falling, and it’s the perfect day for puddle jumping… or maybe just relaxing with a sweet treat!

We’ve moved from our walk-up window inside the lovely Carolina Bauernhaus today, and our pastry case is FULL of freshly baked goodies!

We’ve been watching the weather right along with you, and out of an abundance of caution, we won’t be setting up our little tent on the patio this Saturday morning. But don’t worry, friends — the pastries are still happening!

We’re tucking the final treasures of the summer harvest into our bubbly focaccia this Saturday. Inspired by Elote, or Mexican Street Corn, our focaccia is nestled with sweet corn and juicy grape tomatoes, then finished with chipotle crema, cotija cheese, and a shower of fresh cilantro.

Light on texture, generous on flavor, and just the thing to savor as summer slips away.

Rain or shine, we’ll see you at the window Saturday.

Rain, rain, stay away…we all have fun plans for our Saturday!

Hopefully your plans include a little something sweet from the Bakewell window. We’ve swapped our savory Danish for something a little sweeter this week. Say hello to our Cherry Cream Cheese Danish!

Our buttery, flaky Danish is filled with sweet cream cheese and topped with a spoonful of housemade cherry compote — just the right amount of tart, sweet, and creamy.

We’ll be at the walk-up window from 8 AM–12 PM, ready with pastries, coffee, and a friendly hello. So come on by… and please, rain, save your puddles for another day.

There’s no wrong way to enjoy a loaf from Bakewell Shoppe—we simply love hearing what you come up with!

Maybe it’s apple butter spread over a warm, toasted slice of cinnamon chip loaf, a chicken parmigiana sandwich tucked into our garlic & rosemary focaccia, or a sausage, egg & cheese nestled into one of our cinnamon rolls. However you slice it, we love your culinary creativity!

This week, we took a little inspiration of our own and made a quick weeknight sandwich with cranberry & walnut sourdough, thinly sliced Honeycrisp apples, sharp cheddar, and a generous smear of apple butter. Grilled until golden and melty…so good!
