What I eat to stay healthy. Get to know ethnic seeds. Teff: Native to Eritrea and Ethiopia is an annual grass species which is cultivated for the edibles seeds. It is high in fiber and protein. It is gluten free and a good source of vitamin C, iron, phosphorus, selenium. It is an excellent source for amino acids, especially lysine. It helps with digestive health and blood sugar control.
Recipe:
3/4 cup of teff
2 1/4Cups of water (simmmer four ten minutes until thickeneing)
1/2 cup of dairy or non-dairy milk (add milk and stir and sweetener and cinnamon)
Maple syrup or another sweetener
Cinnamon
Top with:
Nuts (pecans, almonds etc…)
Fresh fruit (I prefer peaches but had none)
more milk
