💚 Today is National Celiac Disease Awareness Day, and for us, this one is personal. 💚

Our founder, Michele, was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2000, but getting that diagnosis wasn’t easy.

She spent two years sick, searching for answers. It took 10 doctors across two different states before someone finally figured out what was wrong: celiac disease.

Now, 26 years later, Michele has turned that experience into a mission. 🦋

Southern Delights By Michele was created so that people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance can walk into a bakery and experience something many of us thought we had lost—the ability to simply choose something from the case and know it’s gluten-free.

No wondering if there’s something you can eat.
No feeling left out.
Just a 100% dedicated gluten-free bakery created by someone who truly understands.

Today we celebrate how far celiac awareness has come and we’ll keep doing our part to help others enjoy life again, one gluten-free bite at a time. 🦋💚
