Did you know that the Tres Leches cake originated in Europe around the Middle Ages? People soaking stale and dry cakes in cream, wine or custard was a very common practice in medieval Europe. The culinary technique was later on brought to the Americas during the colonization. During the 1930s-40s, the first modern Tres Leches we know today was birthed in Nicaragua.🍒🥛

The cutesy-est thing that ended our month of May. Capybara birthday cake for a 7 year old boy.
Mom gave him a Capybara plushy toy wearing a turtle backpack when he was little, and that was his favorite since.
I recreated that toy as the cake’s topper (toy in the comment ). 🦫🍊💚

Cake is in moist chocolate with dark chocolate ganache and chocolate swiss meringue buttercream as filling. Outer frosting is Swiss meringue and toppers are fondant.

Not exactly cake related, but the reason why I am MIA for a while. Our 14 month old Belgian puppy had an emergency stomach surgery last Mother’s Day so from that day onwards, I had to take care of him 24/7.
The first pic is him now, back to his happy playful self. But as per surgeon’s advise, still has to go easy for the next three more weeks until internal wounds heal completely.
That being said, rest assure that orders that was placed before his surgery will still be fulfilled.
And also will be open to take pre-orders for the coming week and on Father’s Day.
