Stampin’ Up! has changed my life in ways I never expected, and it’s about so much more than the products.

What I love most is the values behind the company. Everyone is treated equally, sharing is encouraged, and genuine connection matters. Over the last 15 years, I’ve formed the most wonderful friendships with other demonstrators, members of my team, and customers. Those relationships have truly enriched my life.

I love that my classes are in person, people stay afterwards for a chat, and we keep in touch between classes too.

The other thing I love is that there’s no one right way to be a demonstrator. Some people join for the discount, some for the community and friendships, and others build classes or a business. I'm doing all 3 at once! You really can make it fit your life and your season.

This week I’m sharing two alternative card ideas using the May 2026 Sparkling Celebrations Paper Pumpkin kit.

I love taking kit contents and creating something a little different while still making the most of the beautiful designs included. In my latest video, I show how to make one of the cards exactly as per the instructions, along with my tips for handling the window piece to help prevent the thinner paper from bending. I especially love the effect of looking through the window at the lanterns floating past 💜

I also share two alternative projects:
🎆 A celebration shutter-style festoon lights card
🎆 A bold New Year fireworks design with silver foil details

I hope these ideas inspire you to get even more from your kit and try a few creative variations of your own.

I absolutely loved making the cards exactly as designed in the Paper Pumpkin Lakeside Retreat kit… but I couldn’t resist trying something a little different too. This double vision technique was such a fun way to give the kit a fresh look—and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

It’s amazing how versatile these kits can be with just a few small changes ✂️
