Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day, and we can’t think of a better reason to spread a little kindness around our local community.

So, with a little help from Bens Buns in Paraparaumu Beach, we’re giving away a morning tea shout to a local workplace, team, school, group… or simply someone you think deserves a treat.

Maybe they’ve had a big few weeks. Maybe they’re always doing things for everyone else. Or maybe you just know a bunch of people who would be VERY happy to see us turn up with morning tea next week. 😍

🥔 🥧 Creamy fresh mashed potato piped onto a rich gravy mince encased in buttery pastry, what’s not to love.
As you can see we are also team potato when it comes to what the mince to potato ratio should be

Have you had one of our pies recently?

We’re continuously working hard on improving the pastry and fillings.

Our pastry lately has gone through a bit of a change, more of the buttery goodness giving it a softer bite.

And if you have any of our pies with cheese you should have noticed.. we changed the cheese blend as well as adding more then 50% cheese to the pies.

We will never stop trying to improve and get better. I’m a firm believer once you think you’ve perfected something you’ve actually just lost the passion you once had

Almond croissant 🇫🇷 or crookie 🇺🇸

I can’t go past a crookie, the crunchy cookie top, buttery layers of croissant and then the gooey cookie centre just ticks all the boxes of a perfect sweet treat for me.

Today and tomorrow…
Cinnamon danishes.

Cinnamon, brown sugar and lots of butter, spread across our croissant dough, rolled into a scroll, baked with a cream bath, topped with cream cheese icing…. The arteries were clogging just writing that 😅

The nominations for the last morning tea shout were so good, we couldn’t just pick one..
Last week it was The Shed Project Kāpiti, this week Friends of Animal Charities, there’s maybe one more coming next week.
It might not be life changing, but we sure do hope it’s a day changer, as the recipients help change the lives of others.

Yes we’ve just done a morning tea shout but when I got a message to ask if I wanted to do another one, I said “Yea, let’s go!”
It’s the Friends of Animal Charities shop on Maclean Street!
Possibly the most surprised recipient ever “We don’t ever get anything given to us, we give things away” ❤️❤️

Been a while since we’ve done a morning tea shout.
