π’ A Little Kiwi Floss Update! π’
We've been a little quiet lately, so we thought we'd give everyone an update on what we've been up to and what's happening next!
πͺ Events Around Feilding
Unfortunately, after trying for the past few months to get information and responses regarding events around Feilding through Feilding & District Promotion we've decided to step back from attending organised events in our hometown for the time being.
We've called, emailed, and even stopped into the office, but unfortunately haven't received any responses. We've heard things like "no one is organizing events at the moment," "they're on leave," and "we'll get back to you" β but months have now passed without any further communication. !
So, for now, we've decided to move on.
That doesn't mean we're leaving Feilding behind though! β€οΈ
π We'll still be proudly supporting the Feilding and District Steam Rail Society at their open days.
π You'll also still find us supporting and attending the Feilding Blue Light Street Parties and Disco's.
π And of course, we still offer our Kiwi Floss Birthday Hire services around Feilding, starting from just $99.00!
π Events Across Palmerston North & Horowhenua
When it comes to organized events, our friends at Palmerston North City Council and Horowhenua District Council have always supported and welcomed us.
So you'll definitely continue seeing Kiwi Floss at events throughout the Palmerston North and Horowhenua regions!
Keep an eye on their event pages β chances are you'll find us there! πβοΈ
π Our Fire Truck Build!
Our Fire Truck is currently safely stored with our friends at the Feilding and District Steam Rail Society.
We're currently in the planning stages of working out exactly how we'll set up the kitchen while still maintaining the incredible shape and character of the original Fire Truck.
We're also in contact with former firefighters and fire truck enthusiasts to help us uncover more about the truck's history. Our goal is to honour its service by creating a dedicated area on the truck showcasing its history and the role it played in the community. πβ€οΈ
π§ What's the plan?
Our goal is to begin the major build in early 2027.
The first stage will involve removing the rear section and completing restorative and preventative maintenance to ensure the truck is in the best possible condition before we begin transforming it into our Kiwi Floss food truck.
We're incredibly excited about this project, and we can't wait to share the journey with you all!
Watch this space β there are going to be some awesome updates coming! πππ
