Ardmore Motocross Track The Ardmore MX Track is an Auckland Motocross Track that everyone is welcome to come ride for fun on practice days or race the WILDMAN Series.

Open on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 10am till 4pm
Practice every Wednesday; winter 2 pm - 6 pm, Summer 3 pm - 7 pm.

The next round of the Wildman is on at Ardmore this Sunday 6th September from 10 am until 4 pm. The forecast is looking perfect for Sunday with some rain overnight on Friday softening up the ground for power harrowing another long new circuit on Saturday.

THE WILDMAN ROUND 6 RACE REPORT

Mattias Fridh holeshot the main event grabbing an early lead in the Wildman at Round 6 with Blake Gillard in 2nd, Charles Durrant 3rd, Sam Stevens 4th, Richard Sutton 5th and Rhys Millington 6th leading Toby Summers, Connor Walworth,, Craig Taylor, Dylan Martin, Mark Collier, Andy Main, Logan Welch, Rhys Statham, Alister Kuypers, Jay Bodinner, Michael Kuypers and Kim Chetham. Blake took the lead on his SXF450 on lap 2 with Triumph TF450RC mounted Richard Sutton charging through from 5th to 3rd behind CRF450 mounted Mattias Fridh. Toby Summers was through to 6th on a YZ250 behind Sam Stevens in 5th on his YZF250 followed by Connor Walworth who passed KXF450 mounted Rhys Millington to take 7th while Logan Welch took his KXF250 through to 12th behind SXF450 mounted Mark Collier. Logan passed Mark Collier the following lap to move into 11th while Toby Summers passed Sam Stevens to take 5th behind CRF450 mounted Charles Durrant. Toby passed Charles for 4th on lap 4 with Richard Sutton passing Mattias Fridh to move into 2nd on the TF450RC. Alister and Michael Kuypers both passed KXF250 mounted Andy Main with Alister moving into 14th on his YZF250 and Michael 15th on his KXF450.
Toby Summers passed Mattias Fridh for 3rd on lap 5 with Sam Stevens moving into 4th after passing Charles Durrant. Dylan Martin moved up to 9th on his SXF250 with Logan Welch taking 10th after passing Craig Taylor now in 11th leading a tight pack with Mark Collier, Rhys Statham, Alister Kuypers, Michael Kuypers and Jay Bodinner all chasing the KTM rider. Alister and Michael Kuypers passed Logan Welch after he made a mistake on the corner before the drop off into the tree sectio which also caught out Rhys Statham allowing Jay Bodinner through. Rhys passed Jay back the next lap with Michael Kuypers passing Alister Kuypers to move into 11th behind Craig Taylor. Michael passed Craig for 10th on lap 8 with Craig now leading Alister Kuypers, Logan Welch, Rhys Statham, Jay Bodinner, Tom Keith on his KXF250, MC300 mounted Winston Byblow and Kim Chetham on her SXF250. Dylan Martin moved up to 8th on his SXF250 behind YZF450 mounted Connor Walworth in 7th on lap 9, finally managing to make a pass on Rhys Millington who had been solid in 8th for most of the moto. Michael Kuypers also made the pass taking 9th while Logan Welch passed Alister Kuypers for 12th behind Craig Taylor in 11th and Rhys Millington now in 10th. Rhys Statham passed Logan Welch the next lap to move into 12th while Dylan Martin passed Connor Walworth for 7th behind Charles Durrant and Mattias Fridh in 5th. Rhys Statham passed Craig Taylor on lap 11 breaking into the tight pack being led by Rhys Millington with Rhys now 11th, Craig 12th, Logan 13th, Alister 14th, Mark Collier 15th and Winston Byblow now 15th after passing Tom Keith.
Blake Gillard had a solid lead by lap 12 with Richard Sutton in 2nd chasing him through the pack, Toby Summers 3rd leading Sam Stevens, Mattias Fridh and Charles Durrant. Michael Kuypers passed Connor Walworth to move into 8th with Rhys Statham through to 10th then 9th the following lap. A mistake on lap 15 dropped Dylan Martin from his hard fought 7th place back to 9th with Michael Kuypers now in 7th and Rhys Statham 8th. Mark Collier passed Logan Welch on lap 17 to move into 12th behind Craig Taylor and Rhys Millington in 10th. The pack stayed tight right to the finish with the white flag coming out on lap 19 when a mistake of the switchback section allowed Craig Taylor to pass Rhys Millington for 10th with Mark Collier chasing Craig across the line for 11th, Rhys recovering to take 12th ahead of Logan Welch, Connor Walworth, Kim Chetham, Andy Main and Kelly Diprose on his YZ125. On lap 20 Blake Gillard took the chequered flag and the moto win on his KTM SXF450 leading Triumph TF450RC mounted Richard Sutton across the line with Toby Summers in 3rd on his YZ250 Yamaha, Sam Stevens 4th on his YZF250, Mattias Fridh and Charles Durrant in 5th and 6th on their CRF450s, Michael Kuypers 7th on his first ride back on his KXF450 after a shoulder operation, Rhys Statham 8th, Dylan Martin 9th and Craig Taylor 10th all on KTM SXF250s.

JUNIOR WILDMAN ROUND 6 RACE REPORT

Carter Schmidt was out in front at the start of the Junior Wildman on his YZF250 leading YZ125 mounted Cooper Griggs, Kasey Alach on his SX85, Jessica Lawrence on her TC125 Husqvarna, James Miller on a YZ125, Allan Moorehouse and Cooper Parker both on CRF250 Hondas, Dave Elliot on his YZF250, Ruan Russouw on his SX125 and CRF150 mounted Chase Skelton leading Jayden Skelton, Charlotte Diprose, Tommy Sharp, Jess Eccles, Emily Diprose, Leo Cage-Brown and Bjorn Russouw. Dave Elliot passed Cooper Parker on the second lap of the moto to move into 7th with Cooper passing him back on lap 3. Jayden Skelton charged past CRF150 mounted Chase Skelton on his new CRF250 to move into 10th with Chase leading, Charlotte Diprose, Tommy Sharp, Jess Eccles and Leo Cage-Brown. Tommy passed Charlotte on lap 3 while Ruan Russouw and Dave Elliot both passed Cooper Parker, Dave for the second time, putting him through to 7th behind Allan Moorehouse with Ruan taking 8th. Ruan passed David on lap 5 to take 7th while Leo Cage-Brown passed Jess Eccles and Tommy Sharp passed Chase Skelton on lap 6. Cooper Parker passed Ruan Russouw back for 7th behind David Elliot, then passed David back on lap 7. Leo Cage-Brown passed Charlotte Diprose and Chase Skelton on lap 8. Carter Schmidt had a solid lead by lap 9 with only Cooper Griggs in striking distance, Kasey Alach solid in 3rd and Jessica Lawrence in 4th leading James Miller in 5th and Cooper Parker 6th. Jess Eccles was through to 11th on her TF250X behind Chase Skelton by lap 11 with the white flag coming out for race leader Carter Schmidt on lap 12. He took his Kawasaki across the line for the moto win the following lap leading Cooper Griggs, Kasey Alach, Jessica Lawrence, James Miller, Cooper Parker, Dave Elliot and Jayden Skelton across the line.

PRO & SUPPORT ROUND 6 ARDMORE

Sam Stevens took the lead coming out of the gates on his YZF250 in the Pro Class at Round 6 leading Triumph TF450RC mounted Richard Sutton, Zarko Mravicich on his SX300, SXF350 mounted Mike McDonald, Rhys Statham and Dylan Martin both on KTM SXF250s, Toby Summers on his YZ250, Trent Miers on a CRF250 and KXF250 mounted Jay Bodinner leading Connor Walworth and Alister Kuypers. Blake Gillard was back in the pack after missing the start charging through to 7th on lap 2 while a mistake by Zarko Mravicich on lap 3 dropped him from 3rd back to 12th. Trent Miers was through to 7th after passing Dylan Martin with Toby Summers moving up to 5th and Blake Gillard 4th on his SXF450. Dylan passed Trent back on lap 4 while Blake passed Mike McDonald to move into 3rd behind Richard Sutton in 2nd on the TF450RC and race leader Sam Stevens on his YZF250. Blake passed Richard Sutton for 2nd on lap 6 with Mike McDonald dropping back from 4th to 8th putting Toby Summers into 4th and Rhys Statham 5th. The white flag was out on lap 7 with Blake Gillard moving into the lead crossing the line to take the chequered flag the following lap with Sam Stevens 2nd, Richard Sutton 3rd, Toby Summers 4th and Rhys Statham 5th. Dylan Martin took 6th ahead of Trent Miers, Jay Bodinner, Alister Kuypers, KXF450 mounted Michael Kuypers and Conner Walworth.

VETERANS 35+ ROUND 6 ARDMORE

Winston Byblow grabbed the lead in the Vets class coming out of the gates in the points race at Round 6 of the Wildman Series leading Dave Wallace, Charles Durrant, Mark Collier, Rhys Millington, Mattias Fridh and Andy Main. Danny Evans was in 8th on his CRF250 leading KXF250 mounted Tom Keith, Craig Taylor on his SXF250, Kelly Diprose on a YZ125, Kim Chetham, Dave McMullen, Chad Greyvenstein, Ron Smit, Wayne Chetham and Mike Cameron. Mattias Fridh charged through to 4th on his CRF450 on lap 2 with Chad Greyvenstein taking his CRF250 through to 10th and Kim Chetham moving into 13th on her SXF250. Danny Evans moved into 7th behind KXF450 mounted Rhys Millington on lap 3 with Wayne Chetham moving into 15th on his MC450 behind CRF450 mounted Dave McMullen. Mattias Fridh passed Mark Collier on lap 4 to move into 4th behind CRF450 mounted Charles Durrant with Dave Wallace solid in 2nd harrassing MC300 mounted Winston Byblow for the lead. A mistake dropped KXF250 mounted Andy Main back from 8th to 11th and Wayne Chetham lost 3 places with Ron Smit passing him back on his YZF450 followed by Mike Cameron on his SXF450 and SXF350 mounted Phil Morgan. Kim Chetham passed Kelly Diprose to move into 12th while Craig Taylor hunted down Chad Greyvenstein passing him on lap 7 as the white flag came out for the final lap. Dave McMullen passed Kelly Diprose on the final lap with Winston Byblow taking the chequered flag for the moto win leading Dave Wallace, Charles Durrant, Mattias Fridh, Mark Collier and Rhys Millington across the line.
