The apple pastry has had a glow up recently and, judging by how quickly they’re disappearing from the shelves, you all very much approve.

Caramelised apple, honey and cinnamon wrapped up in buttery pastry.
Simple, crunchy, sweet, pairs perfectly with a hot coffee.. what more could you ask for?!

Croissants, pain au chocolat, pain aux raisins… simple, traditional, buttery, and made the way they should be, with good ingredients, proper technique, and plenty of patience.

We feel like Silvia needs no introduction to our locals.. she is one of the lovely faces you’ll find behind the counter at Copain.

Originally from Italy (with a little French heritage in the mix), Silvia has called New Zealand home for the past 13 years, long enough that she proudly considers it her second home.

Her hospitality career has taken her from Italy to Australia and now New Zealand, picking up plenty of experience, stories, and different approaches to looking after people along the way.

Her love for café life came pretty naturally thanks to two very important things: really good coffee and a sweet breakfast. Honestly, fair enough.

For Silvia, great hospitality is all in the little details - remembering a coffee order, taking the time for a chat, and making people genuinely enjoy being here.

We’re very lucky to have her as part of the Copain crew. Thank you for all that you do Silvia! We appreciate you
