The Orange Octopus Records Our vision is to see a thriving local music scene where artists get more opportunities to grow.

We are a project with a vision to help connect people in the Local Music Scene and create a symbiotic environment with the artists and the music connoisseurs. We plan, in the near future to bring out a platform, where local artists are accessible to the many ardent music lovers, and are committed to finding a sustainable way to allow them to keep creating their content.

Tarang is a delightful human, not just because he makes us laugh with his jokes but because he is one of the most polite, courteous, compassionate and cheerful artists that you will come across.

His easy going charm has audiences across the world losing their wits while he probably just wonders who came up with the combination of words “losing your wits”?

He is currently performing at the Edinburgh Fringe (WHICH IS SO AMAZING)! You would want to follow him, if you already aren't, so that you know when to get tickets for his next show in your city!

We’re doing a special screening of Ady Manral | Singer-Songwriter 's music documentary ‘Sketches from the Top of the Hills’ on 14 August, as part of our Independence Day special open mic at Hotel Vishranti , Dehradun hosted by Eena Bagga and in collaboration with eclectrik sounds ! 🎙️

In Ady’s words, ‘It offers a small glimpse into my life as an independent musician living in the hills, and the music that has grown from that journey. My hope is that it encourages anyone seeking a slower, more intentional way of living, and reminds us that sometimes where we choose to live becomes part of what we create.’ ⛰️ 🧘🏾‍♀️

After a bit of a summer break, we’re back to host our signature open mic at Raah ! Whether you want to take your art to the stage or cheer on the artists, you’re sure to have an art-filled and creatively inspiring evening!

The evening is hosted by Ekav / Avni , a multilingual writer and counselling psychologist, who brings just as much depth and kindness to our events as she does her office. Up-and-coming musician Shadwal (Jemy) Barde closes out the evening with a special showcase, capturing the landscape of Indian cities through his music and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary through his lyrics.
