Today we gathered to remember and celebrate Orla — a truly remarkable woman, a friend, and one of the very first people to believe in this restaurant of ours long before it became what it is today.
Some people walk into a place once and leave quietly. Orla walked in and became part of its story forever.
From the very beginning, she brought warmth, energy, encouragement, and that unmistakable spark that made everyone around her feel happier, lighter, and more alive. She supported us not just with her presence, but with her heart. She championed this place, filled it with laughter, stories, music, and friendship, and reminded us constantly why places like this matter — because they bring people together.
But today is not only about loss. It is about a life lived fully and fearlessly.
Orla lived the kind of life many people only talk about. She chased adventure wherever she found it. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, and never seemed to do anything halfway. Whether she was telling a story, planning her next trip, dancing late into the night, or simply sitting at a table surrounded by friends, she made every moment feel important.
The measure of a life is not simply in years, but in the love left behind — and by that measure, Orla’s life was enormous.
She leaves behind memories that will continue to live at these tables, in these walls, and in all of us lucky enough to have known her. Every time stories are shared here, every time friends gather and laugh until closing time, a part of Orla will still be with us.
