Preparing the iconic saloon hatch of the 1980 Opel Kadett Historic Rally Car for a base coat of paint. This is the part that gave the saloon a rarely similar side profile to the hatchback like the Austin Allegro. I started by moving my recently fitted Motordrive Seats and TRS Harnesses to safety as the interior is due another coat of paint too. Using Jefferson Tools from E Fox Engineers Ltd

Fitting an additional pair of doorbars on the 1980 Opel Kadett Historic Rally Car to bring it up to current FIA standards for Historic Rallying. I had previously shortened the original door bars to fit them horizontally in the lower postition. Now I had to cut a new pair to length and welded the adjustable fittings with my 185 Amp Jefferson Tools welder from E Fox Engineers Ltd. The instructions say to drill them through the end of the bar and the sleeved end piece but I had already welded the lower ones and prefered to fix it the same as the other end.

Fitting threaded inserts to the seat supports I made to fit my Motordrive Seats using alluminium side brackets in the 1980 Opel Kadett Historic Rally Car. I didn't bolt down the co-drivers seat as the distance back that I fit it will be determined by some other factors. I welded in the inserts using my 185 Amp Jefferson Tools welder from E Fox Engineers Ltd .
