This time, the challenge was ๐Œ๐€๐“๐‚๐‡๐€ โ€ข ๐‘๐€๐’๐๐๐„๐‘๐‘๐˜ โ€ข ๐”๐๐„ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’œ

Matcha is quite well known nowadaysโ€ฆ but ๐”๐๐„? Iโ€™ll admit โ€” I was one of those people who knew very little about it, especially about using it in cakes! ๐Ÿ™ˆ

So, of course, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐›๐ž๐ ๐š๐งโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ”Ž๐Ÿ˜‚

And apparently once I start looking for an ingredient, I donโ€™t stop at just one version!

For anyone else wondering, ๐ฎ๐›๐ž ๐ข๐ฌ ๐š ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฒ๐š๐ฆ, popular in Filipino desserts, with a naturally beautiful purple colour and a sweet, slightly nutty/vanilla-like flavour.

And then came the fun part: figuring out how to bring ๐ฎ๐›๐ž, ๐ฆ๐š๐ญ๐œ๐ก๐š ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฌ๐ฉ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ together in one cake so the flavours actually complemented each other โ€” not just looked pretty on paper.
Definitely something different from my usual flavours, definitely a little outside my comfort zoneโ€ฆ and thatโ€™s exactly why I enjoyed the challenge. ๐Ÿ’œ
