A few weeks ago I got a lovely message from a lovely mother of the groom expressing how wonderful my scones looked, she asked if I could help with her son and daughter-in-laws wedding.
At first I thought to myself I cant, my scones are two imperfect to do that, what if there to dry, what if they dont waste nice or like their flavours?
After some serious consideration I said yes, and planned like hell to make sure the bride and groom would experience a memorable scone tasting session.
Yesterday was a fantastic day of baking, zero issues with timing or anything and they all came out perfect!.
A bespoke scone was also made which I jad never made, I was extremely nervous on its texture and taste, and didn't know what to expect.
Then the set up came, standing in the beautiful Willingham house for the first time with the hardwood floor and high ceilings I could feel that is was going to work.
Prosecco, scones and a great big grin on my face at the ready I was done, the set up was so much more than I thought, I couldn't be happier.
As they all t**e their seats, (bride groom, both mothers and grandmothers) they each sipped on some bubbles and my story started, they where mesmerised on how they looked!
As each scone entered their mouths i could see how much they enjoyed them, so many compliments where said, so many smiles.
I was so happy they where happy!.
My first scone tasting session. Was a huge success! And I cant wait to do more.
