I have had 2 very large wedding cakes to create this week which has left me with lots of off cuts!!! £1 for a tub that contains cake topped with buttercream. Collection from northmoor Wareham.

🔥 HEATWAVE ANNOUNCEMENT 🔥

As much as I’d love to keep the brownies and cookies flowing… I simply can’t risk my products sitting in Royal Mail depots during this heatwave and arriving looking like the Wicked Witch of the West after a bucket of water!!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

Nobody wants to open a box of melted brownies or sad sweaty cookies 🍪☀️

So for now, postal orders will be paused until temperatures calm down a little. Quality will always come first and I’d rather disappoint you for a few days than send out bakes that aren’t perfect ❤️

Thank you for understanding and for supporting my small business even when the British weather decides to become tropical 🌴🤣

✨ “When a client says… ‘Can you make the hare from Inside No. 9… life-sized… and edible?’ 👀🐇✨

Challenge absolutely accepted.

Created for Natalie’s 30th birthday celebration yesterday at Kingston Country Courtyard, this golden hare was sculpted from chocolate cake filled with rich red buttercream, with the head and legs hand-crafted from Rice Krispies treats for structure and detail.

A little eerie, a little iconic, and definitely one of those cakes people won’t forget in a hurry… 🖤”

Creating cakes like this i have never done before I have never carved a cake so while it may not be anotomically correct, the challenge is exactly why I love what I do — turning the unusual, the artistic and the completely unexpected into edible centrepieces.

50 is not just a birthday… it’s a whole celebration of life, friendship & fabulousness ✨🎂

This weekend’s cake was extra special to create because I knew the lovely group of friends and their beautiful friend who ordered it for celebrating her milestone 50th birthday 💛

There’s something so special about being trusted to create the centrepiece for moments like this — a cake that’s not just dessert, but part of the memories, photos, laughter and celebration.

This elegant design featured a clean white finish with luxe black, champagne gold and pearl detailing, finished with a statement topper for maximum birthday glam ✨ I also added an individual allergen friendly cake as I knew one lady was gluten free 😊

Sometimes when you don’t see someone showing up online, it can look like nothing is happening… but behind the scenes, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The past few months have been a season of working in the business as much as on it. While socials have been a little quieter, the ovens certainly haven’t.

There has been wedding fairs, consultations, design planning, supplier conversations, admin, pricing reviews, diary management, client care, and all the unseen details that go into creating beautiful cakes and exceptional service.

Alongside Cake Shack UK, life has also been full with family commitments, supporting my teenagers, and navigating the beautifully chaotic juggle of business owner, mum, and everything in between.

Running a creative business is so much more than the finished cake you see on a grid post. It’s early mornings, late nights, problem-solving, learning, adapting, creating, and constantly evolving to give every client the best possible experience.

So whilst I may not always be visible here every day, please know I am still here, still creating, still planning, and still passionate about making your celebrations extra special.
