People often talk about community within the wedding industry as a whole… but I think there’s something even more special about finding community within your actual niche.

As cake artists, we all understand the pressure, the long hours, the early starts, the late finishes, the transporting nerves, the creative blocks, and the emotional investment that goes into every single cake.

And this week has reminded me just how important those connections really are.

Created for a beautiful couple celebrating their marriage at Purbeck Golf Club, this effortlessly elegant semi-naked design was made for a perfect early summer wedding day.

Two tiers of delicious flavour combinations:

Finished with an abundant arrangement of fresh seasonal fruit including berries, cherries, figs, mint, and delicate summer details, this cake was designed to feel fresh, relaxed and luxurious all at once.

A wedding cake should be more than just a centrepiece, it should be part of the experience your guests remember long after the day is over. And judging by how quickly this one disappeared… it definitely was.

✨ Not all wedding cakes are created to simply “fit the brief” — some are designed to become part of the atmosphere, the styling, and the memory.

Created this weekend for L&S, this tall textured beauty stood at over 10” high and travelled from Wareham to the Isle of Wight for my clients’ son’s wedding on Saturday.

A statement in understated luxury, this design was finished with delicate dried flowers from Dorset Dried Flowers, creating a romantic wildflower aesthetic with soft movement, texture, and natural elegance.

Inside? Pure indulgence.
Rich decadent chocolate sponge layered with cherry jam and silky vanilla buttercream — because a luxury wedding cake should taste every bit as beautiful as it looks.

For couples planning a refined, detail-led wedding, your cake deserves to be more than dessert. It should feel intentional, personal, and unforgettable.

There is something incredibly special about seeing months of vision, planning and artistry come together in a final published feature.

This photoshoot was a true celebration of bold, romantic luxury, set against the breathtaking backdrop of a historical castle, with rich tones, dramatic styling and an unforgettable red bridal gown that challenged tradition in the most elegant way.

To have my cake design included as part of this stunning editorial and featured in this beautiful article with feels like such a proud moment.

Every detail was intentionally curated to create a story of romance, drama and timeless opulence, proving that wedding design doesn’t have to follow convention to be luxurious.

I loved creating a cake that complemented the mood and styling of the shoot bringing texture, elegance and statement design to the tablescape.

A reminder that the most memorable weddings are often the ones brave enough to be a little different.
