March is a special month in our house — it’s the birthday month of my eldest! 🎉

His 1st birthday cake was actually the very beginning of my Pudding Lane journey. He was the one I first started baking celebration cakes for, and all these years later his cakes are still some of the most special for me to make.

Looking back at the creations over the years is so much fun — seeing his interests change (and hopefully my baking skills improve along the way too!).

This mermaid cake was such a joy to make — I loved creating it with all the sparkles and seaside details. ✨🧜‍♀️

This is the fourth cake I’ve made for this lovely birthday girl. Each year she gives me a theme or an idea, and I get to run with it and create something just for her. I’m so grateful to be part of her celebrations year after year.
