✅✍️ DONE DEAL: Striker Shaquille Gwengwe has become the latest ACHIEVE client to make the transition from part-time to full-time football as the prolific striker has joined EFL outfit Newport County AFC.

Gwengwe scored 47 goals during an incredible season for Poole Town as The Dolphins narrowly missed out on promotion, losing in the play-offs to Gloucester City.

At the club’s end of season presentation evening, Gwengwe won The Lucy Drake Trophy (Supporters’ Club Player of the Season); The Martin Cooper Trophy (Fans’ Player of the Season); The Bob Terrell Trophy (Managers’ Player of the Season); The Tom Rogers Trophy (Top Goal Scorer); The Players’ Player of the Season.

Gwengwe, 25, has previously played for Worthing, Blackfield & Langley and Andover Town and has risen through the non-league pyramid to become the top scorer in the Southern League Premier Division South last season.

During the 2021-22 campaign, he became a fans’ favourite at AFC Totton, bagging 15 goals in 29 outings in all competitions and this form alerted Dorchester Town, who promptly signed him and he ended his first campaign with the club as the top goal scorer with 13 goals.

The following season, he netted another 17 goals and at the end of the campaign, he turned down offers from several clubs to stay for a third season, the 2024-25 campaign with The Magpies.

He scored ten goals last season before making the move to Poole Town in the summer of 2025.

As well as winning five awards for Poole Town, Gwengwe was also awarded The National Game Awards Golden Boot at a special awards event held at AFC Wimbledon’s Plough Lane stadium.

The National Game Awards is a special celebration of non-league game, held at the end of each season and organised by The Non-League Paper.

✅✍️ NEW CLIENT: We are delighted to announce that Hemel Hempstead Town midfielder Mathew Achuba has become the latest client to join ACHIEVE.

Achuba began his career in the academy at Ebbsfleet United and has made a name for himself as one of the standout midfielders in the National League South.

After a brief spell at Meridian, the 25-year-old then spent four years with Wingate and Finchley, cementing himself at the heart of the midfield, before moving to Vauxhall Road in November 2024.

To date, he has made 64 National League South appearances for Hemel Hempstead Town and he helped The Tudors to last season’s National League South play-offs, playing alongside fellow ACHIEVE clients Finley Wilkinson and Kyle Ajayi, who recently joined Forest Green Rovers.

✅✍️ DONE DEAL: Winger Corey McKeown has become yet another ACHIEVE client to make the transition into full-time football after signing for National League club Hartlepool United FC from National League North outfit Spennymoor Town.

Winger McKeown, 24, enjoyed another fine season as the club narrowly missed out on the National League North play-off places. He was rewarded for his excellent displays by winning Spennymoor Town’s Supporters’ Player of the Season award at the club’s end of season presentation evening at The Brewery Field.

McKeown netted six goals in 45 National League North appearances during the 2025-2026 season and he now makes the move up to join new Pools manager Lee Clark’s side at Victoria Park.

McKeown joined Moors in November 2022 from Blyth Spartans for an undisclosed transfer fee, where he had played previously under Clark, making 53 league appearances.

McKeown had been on the books at Croft Park since he was 17, bursting on to the scene and securing the Young Player of the Year award after some tremendous performances.

Capable of playing on either wing or in a more central role, McKeown helped Spennymoor Town to reach the FA Trophy final at Wembley Stadium in 2025 and his nine goals during the 2024-2025 campaign alerted the attentions of a whole host of clubs, before he penned a new one-year contract that summer at The Brewery Field. In total, he made 150 appearances, scoring 19 goals for Spennymoor Town.

✅✍️ DONE DEAL: ACHIEVE client Finley Wilkinson has completed a move to National League North side Bedford Town FC, joining The Eagles from Hemel Hempstead Town.

Wilkinson, 23, links up with new manager Harry Smart after spending a season with Hemel Hempstead Town, helping The Tudors to an FA Cup run, where they narrowly lost on penalties to League One side Wigan Athletic, and to the National League South play-off places.

After spending the majority of his youth career at Ipswich Town and after a brief spell at Histon, Wilkinson was picked up by then National League outfit Barnet Football Club in May of 2024, making the move into professional football, after an impressive season for Hertfordshire outfit Hitchin Town, where he netted 17 times for the Canaries in all competitions. In total, he scored 28 goals in 79 appearances in all competitions for Hitchin Town.

Wilkinson joined Hemel Hempstead Town in June 2025 from Barnet, where he had made four National League appearances. During his time at The Hive, he also enjoyed loan spells with National League side Braintree Town, where he scored his first goal in professional football in October 2024, and at National League South sides St Albans City and Chelmsford City.

After leaving Barnet, he made 35 National League South appearances during his time at Vauxhall Road during the 2025-2026 campaign and now makes the move to Bedford Town, where he has penned a one-year deal.

Mahon, who joined AFC Fylde last summer from Curzon Ashton, led The Coasters to an immediate return to the National League in some style with a record-breaking campaign that saw them surpass the 100-point mark and also score 126 goals along the way.

York City FC striker and ACHIEVE client Ollie Pearce has enjoyed double delight and more recognition after winning the National League Player of the Season and Golden Boot awards.

30-year-old Pearce scored 34 league goals for York City as The Minstermen claimed the National League title, pipping Rochdale with a dramatic last second goal at Scotland on the final day of the season.

Brighton-born Pearce joined York City in the summer of 2024, joining from Worthing where he had been a prolific goal scorer. He has also been capped by England C.

Pearce has scored 64 league goals in 94 appearances for York City during his time with the club and has earned a reputation as the most deadly marksman in the National League.

Pearce was also recently awarded the National Game Awards Sports Circle Player of the Year Award for the second successive season as well as winning three end of season awards for York City and being named in the National League Team of the Season.

Wishing the very best of luck today to client Courtney Clarke as he earns his second cap for Jamaica Football Federation ( J.F.F ) following his goal scoring debut in midweek. The Reggae Boyz face The Nigeria Football Federation this evening in the final of The Unity Cup at Charlton Athletic FC stadium, The Valley. Jamaica earned their place in the final after a 2-0 victory over India Football team on Wednesday evening, when Walsall midfielder Clarke’s seventh minute goal, a fine effort from the edge of the area, opened the scoring, with a second goal later in the match sealing the passage into today’s final.

It was a dream international debut for Courtney Clarke as he scored 11 minutes into his first appearance for Jamaica Football Federation ( J.F.F ) as the Reggae Boyz defeated India Football team 2-0.

The Unity Cup match – held at Charlton Athletic’ Valley Stadium – was the first semi-final, with the winners facing Nigeria on Saturday, after The Super Eagles defeated Zimbabwe 2-0.

Clarke’s 11th minute opener was a tremendous solo effort as he curled the ball into the top corner from 25-yards out before celebrating in front of the Jamaican fans.

The win was sealed with 79 minutes on the clock when Charlton Athletic striker Kaheim Dixon – playing on his home ground – fired into the bottom left corner.

✅✍️ DONE DEAL: ACHIEVE client Kyle Ajayi has completed a move from Hemel Hempstead Town to ambitious National League promotion-chasers Forest Green Rovers Football Club.

25-year-old left-sided defender Ajayi has been one of the standout centre-backs in the National League in recent seasons, captaining The Tudors to this season’s play-offs, where they narrowly lost on penalties to Weston-super-Mare.

A big, powerful defender and a real leader, Ajayi joined Hemel Hempstead Town from AFC Dunstable in July 2020. Last season, the 2025-2026 campaign, he made 38 league appearances, scoring three times, and also captained the side to draw at League One outfit Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup, only narrowly losing on penalties.

✅✍️ DONE DEAL: Midfielder Tyrique Clarke has become the latest ACHIEVE client to make the move into full-time football, signing for National League newcomers Worthing from Slough Town.

24-year-old midfielder Clarke was in impressive form for Slough Town, having joined the club in May 2025 from Southern Premier South side Poole Town.

He did extremely well last season, the 2025-2026 campaign, making 52 appearances and scoring three times.

Able to operate as a box-to-box midfielder as well as a holding midfielder, Clarke began his career with Yeovil Town before having spells with Metropolitan Police, Hendon, Welling United and Wingate and Finchley, where he was awarded the club’s ‘Young Player of the Season’ award. He then joined Dorchester Town, before switching to Poole Town, where he made 42 appearances, scoring four goals, prior to joining Slough Town last summer.

A skilful midfielder with high energy and quick feet, Clarke is a fine passer of the ball and has become known as one of the most reliable midfielders in the National League South.
