🍂 Today we played with clay and dry walnut leaves. We chose natural treasures to press or roll into the clay to make keepsakes of the season.
🍂 This week I’d noticed how a walnut tree in our garden had let most of its leaves go and I thought how much the children would enjoy playing with them. So I collected them yesterday before the rain came and sure enough, letting them fly high in the air off the parachute was a highlight. Inspiring further play with the leaves and each other. Reminding us of the simple joys of the season and of time well spent together in nature.
🍂 We also enjoyed cake to celebrate a little one’s birthday and sang our autumn song to ‘Wheels on the bus’.
Thank you for joining us! 💚🌿🐸
