King of the Swingers was our first dance song btw.

We’re considering a new enquiry policy: your cake brief cannot contain more words than your budget in pounds.

£100? 100 words. Please use some of them to tell me how many people you’re feeding.

Resending the brief on WhatsApp counts towards your allowance. AI renders and requests to “jump on a quick call” will be assessed separately.

You’re welcome to include a paragraph about how difficult it is to find a good cake maker here, but it seems an unusual use of your remaining word count.

I believe them when they say AI is going to finish us…

Why don’t we friend-date more in our 40s?

I think it’s the risk.

You can happily know someone online for years. Reply to their Stories. Like their posts. Have the occasional chat.

But actually meeting them?

What if they’re unbearable?

Worse, what if you’re unbearable and they go home and quietly unfollow you?

Anyway, after following Natalie Rushdie for about 10 years, we finally tested the theory.

Swipe to see whether either of us got blocked.

As a small business owner, I know first hand all the hard work, blood, sweat, tears that go into it. And I will always choose to support a small business and give them a shout out if I love them. But I feel I also need to call them out when they deserve it like Snug Cookies does.

After the entirely normal reaction to my mint choc chip opinions on Threads, I have learned absolutely nothing.
Here I am slating another customer order because I hate snakes and cockroaches.
Why’d we take it?
Because my love of cold hard cash runs deeper than my loathing of critters.
How’d we do against AI here??

I want to apologise for the first part of my statement.

I’ve made mistakes, and I’m so, so sorry.

I’ve never wanted to be an activist baker, but over the last 24 hours I have found myself in the middle of an important and passionate argument about one of the most complex flavour issues on the planet.

I have always wanted my cakes to be about unity, not division; about humanity, not flavour politics.

But I cannot hide how I feel about this anymore.
Mint chocolate chip tastes like toothpaste.

I’m listening and learning because apparently I do not know enough.

You MCC fans are certified weirdos. Will die on this hill.
