The sun is back for a sunny Saturday!
The cake shed is open open all day today before we close tomorrow for a little autumn break.
Fully stocked with all your favourites plus these lovely little honey madeleines and plum crumble pots.
Open until dusk so plenty of time to pop in for a little weekend treat or to stock up for next week!

Morning all!
Thank you to everyone who’s visited the cake shed this week and kept me busy! I was in the kitchen early this morning getting everything restocked for the weekend but you’ll need to be quick if you want a slice of raspberry cake!

I’ve been waiting for the weather to cool down to make these raspberry cakes and this is the weekend! They’re lovely and summery and with cooler temperatures the buttercream icing will hold up and not melt into a messy pool!
The shed is open every day 9.30am till dusk (which at the moment is around 8pm) so plenty of time to spoil yourself and pick up a tasty treat for the weekend.

The dahlias might have finally arrived!
It’s been a tough year so far for growing flowers with a wet winter followed by a cold spring and late frosts and then of course the constant heat of the summer so far. However perseverance has paid off and finally I have a bucket of flowers outside the cake shed. Priced per stem so you can have as many or few as you wish. Payment by cash or card inside the shed!
What better way to kick off the start of the week with flowers and cake.

Happy Monday!
One of my favourite bakes has come back to the cake shed!
You’ll find the blueberry slice chilling out in the fridge, making friends with the orange sponge.
As with all the fridge items this is best eaten at room temperature so should be perfect by the time you’ve driven home and made a cuppa.

It’s not all about cakes in the kitchen! Every week I get to step away from the oven and venture into the garden to my cut flower beds. These beauties were for a customer who has a bucket of seasonal flowers every week during spring and summer.
If you want something similar then orders are now being taken for next year, although numbers are limited so don’t wait too long!
Options are a bucket of flowers to arrange yourself or a bottle of flowers arranged. Both are available weekly, every two weeks or monthly or as a one off order (depending on availability)

NEW BAKE ALERT!
New in the cake shed are these white chocolate cookies. With a hint of vanilla and a generous amount of chocolate we’ve enjoyed taste testing them as I’ve developed the recipe.
Peter got very excited when he saw this batch cooling down until I mentioned they were heading for the shed. I guess that’s my cue to make a batch for home!
Open every day from 9.30 to dusk and full of tasty treats there’s something for everyone but what’s your favourite?
