Had an amazing day at the Giadinia La Mortella, has to be top garden I have visited anywhere in the world so far, so beautiful. Truly a love project by Susana Walton who started developing the gardens in 1956, she passed away in 2010 leaving behind these beautiful gardens.

We had a menopase cafe at work and it was great to hear the stories from women in all stages of Peri, Menopause and Post. One of things I mentioned that helps me with my challenging cramps is my AUNT FLOW tea blend. Here is what I use, other great things to add would be skullcap and spearmint but the below was what I used to make up this blend.

Eight herbs for that time of the month:

🍃 Raspberry Leaf — eases cramps 🌿 Nettle — replenishes iron 🍋 Lemon Balm — calming 🌼 Chamomile — anti-inflammatory 🌱 Peppermint — pain relief, digestion 🌺 Hibiscus — antioxidant rich 🌾 Red Clover — hormonal support 🌷 Agnus Castus — hormonal balance

☕️ Brew: 1 heaped tsp, just-off-the-boil water, 10 mins with the lid on. 📆 When: start 2–3 days before you're due, 2–3 cups daily.

I started my veggies late this year, it was may 10th when I finally got my tomato, pepper, cucumber, corgette and some herbs basil, mint, oregano started from seed. Look at the now! Show its never to late to start. Some of my tomatoes I got from a friend as well have already got fruit and the others are starting to take.the cucumbers, corgette and peppers got left outside a little too long in the heat before planting up but they are bouncing back!

A big trim at the beginning of July of the Wisteria out front had resulted in some new blooms this weekend

Summer is here, heatwaves have me looking to cooler easier foods so sometimes dinner is simply fruit (whatever we have, typically strawberries, blueberries, raspberries from the garden, pomegranate and had some peaches), Greek yogurt, Keifer (probiotic), then seeds I have Pumpkin, sunflower, linseed, sesame, h**p, chia and some cashews. I then add some cinnamon powder to them for reducing the blood sugar response to the fruit. The nuts and seeds also help it.

This is me Pixie or Lu, Lulu, Auntie Lu or Louise. Enjoying the confetti flower fields for my birthday weekend. This time last year I was having a pretty tough time with it battling severe anxiety. So this is my do over celebrating last day of being 40! 41 tomorrow 😁🥳
