Good evening! So before I pass out (tough week lol) I want to pop a wee post on to let you know we will be in tomorrow with some doozies, including all our delicious pies such as BBQ pulled pork, steak red wine and Stilton and we will even have a few more minis (cooked and ready to go) our family sized steak pies, a new strawberry bounty eclairs, tablet doughnuts, mini sausage rolls (perfect for the galaday picnic) and so so much more! For those of you feeling tender tomorrow we will have the best hangover cures in Midlothian such as snowball brownies, iced coffee, slush and of course rolls for those bacon and egg breakfast pick me ups.
So with that….

Hellloooo! Ok we have been absolutely hammered and fast running out of stuff in the cabinets as we just can’t keep up (Jamie is away to Boston to watch the footie lucky sod, so we are a wee bit behind) 🤣🤣 so when we reopen at 3 we will be restocking as much as possible, with the mini pies, mini sausage rolls, big pies and sausage rolls, some cream cakes, school cake trays and anything else that I can rustle up quick. So if your leaving the pub or galaday and deciding last minute to grab treats for tonight, we will be here for a good couple of hours until we sell out 🥰🥰🥰

Had a few people in today who think the Main Street is closed all day Saturday, it’s definitely not! There are cones out in the parking bay on parade day to stop people blocking the parade route at 1pm but until then you can still stop and park to pop in and there is plenty of car parking at the co-op round back. The parade kicks off at 1 and I’m hearing the road will be closed until 2 which is a fair bit longer than usual and not great but we will be back from around 3pm for round 2, including mini pies and everything else still in the cabinets lol. Now we are usually quieter on gala day (people stay away as they assume, like we are hearing this week, the road is closed and we will be super busy) so please know we will be here and full to the brim with all your favourites from 8:30am. Please feel free to share this to let everybody know what’s happening! 🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Balmoral (chicken, haggis and whisky sauce)
Steak pies
Steak and haggis
Braemar (chicken, black pudding and peppercorn)
Mince and tattie
Stovies (made by mum)
Haggis, neeps and tatties

Scotch.
We will be doing similar to our pies at new year, selling them ready for the oven so you get the freshest pies possible! We will also have patriotic school cake trays for sale. We will have our normal Saturday first then close for an hour or so, so we can get set up again and be here for mini pies (and anything else remaining in the cabinets from earlier in the day) until we sell out! We will confirm exact timings on Friday.

We are considering doing pie boxes (or mini pie boxes) and Scotland themed school cakes for ordering/collecting Saturday...

Mayfield galaday today, hope the dry weather holds out for the kiddos! We are here until 2 for all your treats and we are usually quieter when the galadays are on so you might not even have to stand in a big queue! 🥰
