🧁💕 Even a cake maker needs comfort food sometimes! 😂

Today I had the loveliest visit to a fellow cake shed — Cake by Kym! 🏡🍰

Kym is someone I’ve followed for a long time, and we’ve shared lots of knowledge, ideas and cake chat along the way. She’s someone who genuinely inspires me to keep going, keep creating and do what I love — all things cake! 🎂✨

It was so lovely to visit the shed, have a catch-up and, of course, pick up some delicious treats because… even a cake maker needs comfort food! 😂💕 Sometimes you just need someone else to do the baking!

Welcome to Kates Bakes! 🧁✨

A huge WELCOME to all my lovely new followers! 🥰

If you’re new here, I’m Kate, the baker behind Kates Bakes 👩🏼‍🍳❤️

I’m a home baker, baking from my family home and kitchen, creating all things sweet — from gooey brownies and chunky cookies to cheesecakes, traybakes, celebration cakes and lots more! 🍪🍰

You’ll also find me supplying local cafés and businesses, as well as opening my little Cake Shed on selected weekends. 🏡🧁

I’m currently taking a little break from the Cake Shed, but I’m still busy behind the scenes planning what’s next!

That’s a wrap! SOLD OUT 🎉

A huge thank you to every single person who has supported me this weekend and helped make my last Cake Shed weekend for a little while so special. 🥹🫶🏼

I’m now going to take some much-needed time to spend with my dad, prepare for a small operation and then give myself time to recover properly. ❤️

I’ll keep you all posted about when I’ll be opening again, and while I’m resting I’ll be planning the next few months and working on some exciting things behind the scenes…

And I DO have something new and exciting coming when I reopen! 👀✨
