Cupcake towers are popular as an option for "grab and go" rather than waiting for the cake to be cut, and often the cake at the top of the tower is just for the bride and groom, but i can't blame them! 🤣

My most complicated cake topper 😂 but i made it work! I had fun putting all this together along with the sugarpaste decorations on the cake 🥰 then of course with the black and gold theme, i had to add some gold gold glitter pump sparkle from The Baked Studio Ltd (any excuse!)

Loved these models! The cake itself was a plain white sugarpaste cake (on top of a cupcake tower!) but the main attraction of course was the handmade bride and groom models 🥰 this was it set up in the Queens suite at Kings Croft Hotel 🥰

When planning a new display cake one of the things i always start with my polystyrene dummies from most of these are new but the best thing is they can be stripped and reused. Once i have decided on the overall design stacking the dummies helps plan sizing overall, then the fun begins!
