From Tomorrow, Monday 10th August, we will be making some slight adjustments to our opening hours at both Axminster and Honiton due to the introduction of the 2-hourly train service, which is expected to be in place for some time.

To prepare for the situation and ensure we can continue to operate as efficiently as possible, our opening hours will be:

📍Axminster
Monday – Saturday: 7:30 – 14:30
Sunday: 8:30 – 14:00
(Last orders for Food 13:30 Daily) Only Drinks, Cakes, Gelato Served after this time.

📍Honiton
Monday – Friday: 8:30 – 14:20
Saturday: 8:30 – 12:20
Sunday: Closed

Customer Notice!! 🚂

From Monday 10 August, South Western Railway will be operating a temporary reduced timetable on the West of England Line due to speed restrictions caused by the prolonged hot, dry weather affecting the railway infrastructure.

As two small independent businesses based at Axminster and Honiton stations, these changes are likely to have a significant impact on passenger numbers. During this period, we will be relying more than ever on the continued support of our local communities.

We will do everything we can to continue operating as normal, but if the reduction in passenger numbers begins to have a significant financial impact on the business, we may have to review and adapt our opening hours. Any changes would only be made if absolutely necessary.

This should be one of the busiest times of the year for the hospitality industry, yet these timetable changes are another major challenge for independent businesses along the West of England Line. We know we are not alone, and our thoughts are with all the cafés, shops, pubs, restaurants and other local businesses that rely on visitors and rail passengers.

Whether you're travelling by train, meeting friends for breakfast, grabbing a coffee, or simply choosing to support a local independent business, every visit really does make a difference.

From 27th July until 31st August, children can eat FREE at Railway Kitchen Axminster when dining with a paying adult.

Whether you're heading out for breakfast, lunch or just stopping by during the holidays, we'd love to welcome the whole family.

🍽️ Kids' meal must be purchased with an adult's meal.
👨‍👩‍👧 Maximum of 2 free kids' meals per adult.
