Familiar face.
Same passion for hydraulics and customers. 👋

We are happy to announce that Christian Degen will take on the role of Head of Sales DACH at ARGO-HYTOS, leading our sales activities across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, effective October 1, 2026.

As our former Team Lead Global Account Management, Christian is already familiar with customers and their needs, has a deep understanding of our markets and solutions – and knows that great partnerships are built on more than products and numbers.

Building on these strong foundations, Christian will continue to foster close, trusted partnerships with our customers throughout the DACH region.

We are excited to see Christian take on this new responsibility and very much look forward to working together in his new role.

Recently, we introduced the new biodiesel-compatible version of our established and well-proven OPCom Portable Oil Lab.
Now, we are taking another step to make the portable oil laboratory even more flexible: Bluetooth connectivity. 🛜

The updated OPCom Portable Oil Lab Bluetooth by enables users to measure, analyze and report oil condition wirelessly – wherever machines are in use. Thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy, measurements can be started directly via the app, with detailed PDF reports generated within minutes and ready to share with customers.

Whether connected via pressure line or using the integrated pump, the OPCom Portable Bluetooth provides reliable real-time data on oil cleanliness, temperature, humidity, conductivity and more.

The Bluetooth option will be available for both the standard OPCom Portable Oil Lab and the biodiesel-compatible version.

🏌️One team. One course. A lot of fun.

At ARGO-HYTOS, we're used to solving challenges with precision and finding the right path through complexity. Last week, our Switzerland team put those skills to a different test during a mini golf team event in Zug.
Some shots went exactly as planned. Others... taught us valuable lessons in patience and creativity. 😉

What made the day special wasn't who scored the lowest number of strokes. It was the opportunity to spend time together, strengthen connections, and enjoy a few friendly competitions outside the office.

Customers worldwide rely on this compact, mobile oil laboratory for quick and reliable oil cleanliness and condition monitoring – supporting predictive maintenance and helping to identify potential issues at an early stage.

With the latest generation of the OPCom Portable Oil Lab by , we are taking another step towards future-proof condition monitoring:
The portable unit is now compatible not only with diesel but also with biodiesel.

The Axon Conference series continued last week in Wrocław, Poland, and ARGO-HYTOS is proud to be part of it once more.

As part of the conference program, our colleague from ARGO-HYTOS Poland, Maciej Gzela, presented a session about Predictive Oil Management as the Foundation of Hydraulic System Reliability. He talked about how oil condition data can support reliability-driven maintenance strategies and help build a deeper understanding of hydraulic system health.

At our booth, we were presenting selected Fluid Management solutions that help increase machine availability, protect hydraulic systems and support long-term operational reliability.

Our customers rely on solutions that save energy, conserve resources, and deliver long-term efficiency. We apply the same standards to our own operations.

Since 2021, we have implemented a range of energy efficiency measures at the ARGO-HYTOS site in Kraichtal, Germany, achieving 550,000 kWh of energy savings.
Among the initiatives implemented:

🍃 LED lighting upgrades
🍃 Heat recovery from compressors
🍃 Optimization of heating and ventilation controls
🍃 Elimination of leaks in the compressed air network
🍃 Use of energy-efficient equipment and technologies

These results demonstrate that sustainability and economic performance go hand in hand. At the same time, we are reducing resource consumption and contributing to lower CO₂ emissions.

Looking ahead, we continue to identify new opportunities for improvement. Among other initiatives, the planned transition to heat pump technology will help further increase the energy efficiency of our site.

For us, energy efficiency is more than a product feature. It is part of our company culture! 💡
