In February, I started making sourdough. When you feed your starter regularly, you end up with leftover starter called “discard,” which can be used in cakes, cookies, and other baked treats.
One of my favorite things to make with it has become these sourdough discard granola bars. They’re made with oats, h**p hearts, egg whites, protein powder, and just a little honey, plus bittersweet chocolate. They’re a well-balanced snack with a good amount of fiber and protein.
I’m curious—would you buy these?
