Our Cambodian jasmine rice earned World’s Best in 2025. Growing up in the village, I watched my parents harvest rice by hand, learning that every grain is earned with care and patience. Today, I’m proud to be part of the journey! This story isn’t just about a prize; it’s about family hands, shared meals, and the land that gives us life.

I grew up with a ball at my feet, chasing big dreams with a small frame, and soccer taught me to workhard, enjoy the journey and never give up. I turned that love to become a professional soccer in Cambodia, and now I coach the U13 girls at Richmond United, giving back what the game gave me while also learning from girls every practice . It’s a privilege to serve the community. "Soccer change my life"

In early January I had a chance to visit my Mom’s grave to trim the grass and tidy the site in Kompong Spur provice, Cambodia. Its a quiet moment that keeps her close in my heart.

May your Christmas be bright and your days be merry. Thank you for being part of the Angkor Harvest family. Warmest wishes for a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

In memory of all soldiers and civilians in Cambodia who have lost their lives near the borders by defending themselves from Thailand invading. May they rest in peace, and may their families find strength and solace.

LOVE HAS NO BORDERS

Sophea Heang, July 2025

A thousand shots fired

still peace lives on…

it is a voice that breathes

in you and me

there's a river

inside love

its alive  sees

past us all and itself

children of

Kampuchea we see you

we hear you.

you are hurting from

the wounds that were

not visible until now

the mouth of the river

kisses your scars

taking you back

home

your tears drip into

a clear stream that sees

the past like these rocks

big and small

brown white

grey holding up a mirror

so you can finally

see yourself again

translucent baby's skin just

nine days- old when mother

carried baby from home

to live in a blue tent

with thousands

of other refugees

looking up to a pale clear sky

palms pressed together sitting

on the wings of these white

doves  we commemorated the 50th year

anniversary of the Cambodian

genocide that took away our elders

so much of our history

heritage and culture

never again!

We see you

your faces will also

be sculpted by the fingers

of Kampuchea

Who wins in wars

that rip children from

the arms of their mothers'

forever?

from where Phnom Dangrek

touches Ursa Major

down to the

anvil of earth where

these roots keep us together

don't be afraid!

it doesn't matter if you were

born on Khmer soil or

in a new land

you were a baby born

under these stars

that fuel human breath

no forces of ammunition

can stay in this fire!

it's okay if your heart is

breaking and you're trying to find

the words to explain

the hurt and the pain

No! No! No more wars! Your spoken and

unspoken words still reverberate in fire

smoke that blast through human flesh

it takes their

very last breath

the ghosts of war wander

hover over these

memories

Go to where peace is

buried

step over the shadows of

conflict

Go inside yourself.

sit beneath those clouds that form

on top of Phnom Dangrek where

peace lives

below and above the boundaries

of war zones that

shatter our human spirit
