Dad vs. Mom when it comes to letting Ellis use a knife 😂

Ken still gets nervous watching Ellis cut her own food, so he does it for her. Meanwhile, I’ve been teaching her to use an X-Acto knife and a paring knife for her fondant creations since she was 3. 🤭

I started after noticing how good her fine motor skills were, and I always supervised her closely.

Ken was showing me this steam mop over dinner because he was so impressed by the two spinning scrubbers. 😂 I shared it on my stories Shark Home Canada saw it! …and they sent us one! Ofc, I had to hide it so I could wrap it up and surprise him.

Ken is a man of few expressions, he’s not a content creator… but trust me, he was SO happy. He doesn’t give every vacuum or mop two thumbs up! His favourite parts? Hotter steam than our old one and a removable water tank that’s easier to fill, and ofc the 2 spinning mop heads.

Thank you so much Shark Home Canada!! You made his day, and we love this sanitizing steam mop!!!

We had so much fun at Fête Chinoise ‘s Mid-Autumn Festival! We were back hosting another cupcake workshop, and seeing the kids get creative.

Between the live performances, delicious food, mahjong and kids’ activities, there was so much to enjoy together!

We love Forgotten Island Movie so much that as soon as we got home, Ellis wanted to turn one of the characters into a cake! 😂 She picked Bungi, the giant demon baby! She was so stoked we got a jacket and bracelet from the screening! 🩷✨

As an adult, I enjoyed this movie way more than I expected. We were both laughing from beginning to end! I loved seeing Filipino culture celebrated on screen, representation matters!❤️
The story felt so original, with a beautiful message about love and friendship. I’ve been telling all my friends to go see it, and we’re now telling you too! 🥹🎬

A lil warning tho, the ‘monster’ in the movie was a little scary for Ellis. So check the trailer if you’re bringing ur little ones under 6.

Ellis turned her favourite axolotl Squishmallow into a cake! 💕 After spending so much time on the fondant pieces, she put it altogether and realized the gills were too big. So she made them again. 🥹

I’ve always taught her that mistakes happen, especially with creating cakes, and that’s okay. She noticed the gill were too big, paused for a moment… and went, “meh, I’ll fix it.” Handled it herself like a pro. 😀

🥳Ellis’s first bigger birthday party! …and ofc, I was worried about everything! Would guests of all ages have fun? Would everyone enjoy the food? And would Ellis approve of the surprise cake Daddy made? We celebrated at ! Once everyone arrived, all that worrying disappeared. From the games and attractions to the food and party room… EVERYONE was having the best time! 🥳 The kids loved the rope course and wall climbing and the teen were really into Gel Blaster and video games! The adults were raving about the food and its presentation!

I couldn’t make Ellis’s birthday cake this year 🥹 I only had one day off, so I saved it for her party.

Ken spent the two days before the party making her cake, and by the time I got home, he was already 80% done! I got to watch him finish assembling and decorating it, and I have to say… he did such a good job. 🥹❤️

For Ellis’s first big birthday party, I wanted the cake to be tall and POP for photos… can’t wait to show you guys. 🎂✨
