The Helios 44-2 58mm f/2 is an iconic vintage Soviet lens known for its unmistakable character. Verite: candid truth.

I’m just gonna let the cat out the bag. I fell in love with the art of documentary 3 years ago. 2 years into this journey. I lost site of that because you have to do the grunt work within this industry. Those who understands, know this. Eventually your “why “circles back around and you’re forced to reckon the question. What is my brand? Since I began focusing on this it’s very cool to me hearing people describe my brand to others AND THEY JUST GET IT! Theee best feeling inside. It’s not for everyone and I’m more than okay with that. Very! So ya…this is my new product line up for 2025 that’s under the authentic story umbrella for . Need a name for it but for now I’m going to call it Short Doc Series. It’s for people with a story [of conflict, struggle, over coming and resolve] and would love to tell it. This is for business owners as well. A great way to build connection with potential clients who can identity with your story.

Back to the reason you tapped on this post. Jody is a great friend of mind. We’ve been talking about this project for about 1-2 years now. I love her story. Many can identify with it. It’s shows the external influences, inner conflict, tension, realization and resolve. We filmed this early in 2024 and we (me really 😂) just wrapped up the entire 4 part series. Appreciate your patience JB. I’ll post the link in my stories if you’d like to check it out.

The beautiful thing about this project: I came prepared to unearth her story with her but the moment we started talking, it all came out. I didn’t even stop recording. I didn’t poke any questions at her. I even cycle through all 3 cameras while switching the batteries. She didn’t skip a beat.

Thank you for allowing me to tell your story!

Fast forward to your first date, and you get into a car accident… without even making it out of the neighborhood.

And that, my friends, is how Daniel and Tahira’s story began. ❤️

On the tapestry of her life, woven with the tight bond she shares with her sisters, it was only fitting that they shared their first impressions of Daniel. A story like this couldn’t be captured in just 10 minutes—it had to be told in full.

A beautiful Caribbean and African fusion. ❤️
