“Boterkoek” — literally meaning butter cake — is one of the most beloved traditional treats from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Rich, dense, buttery and comforting, it’s somewhere between a cake and a cookie… but truly in a category all its own.

Made with simple ingredients — real butter, sugar, flour and eggs — this Dutch classic has been baked in homes and bakeries for generations. The texture is soft and melt-in-your-mouth in the center, with those beautiful golden edges that make every bite pure comfort.

In Nederland they would say:
“Lekker bij die koffie.” ☕
(Perfect with a cup of coffee.)

And in a little bit of Vlaams/Dutch charm:
“Met liefde gebakken.”
(Baked with love.) ❤️

Not all brownies are created equal… 🍫

These are rich, intensely chocolatey Belgian Chocolate Brownies made with premium Callebaut chocolate — not cocoa powder alone, but a generous 265g of real Belgian chocolate in every batch.

I use both Callebaut 811 and 70-30-38 for that deep chocolate flavour, glossy crackly top, and irresistibly fudgy centre. Add real butter and quality ingredients, and you get a brownie that is anything but ordinary.

Dense. Decadent. Fudgy.
The kind of brownie that melts a little when you pick it up and makes you close your eyes after the first bite 😉

This is not your average brownie. This is a true chocolate lover’s brownie. 🍫✨

This Vanilla Diplomat cake has become one of those cakes I truly love making again and again. Soft vanilla cake layers filled with silky diplomat crème and finished with light French vanilla whipped buttercream — simple, elegant, and timeless.

I’ve made this design a few times now, and every single one turns out just a little unique with its hand-painted floral texture. Delicate, classic, and full of vanilla goodness.
