Happy International Celiac Awareness Day! 💚

While every day is Celiac Awareness Day at Origin Bakery, today is an opportunity to shine an even brighter light on celiac disease and the people living with it every single day.

For some, gluten-free is a lifestyle choice. For others, it is medical, daily, and completely non-negotiable. Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune condition that affects an estimated 1 in 100 people worldwide, yet many remain undiagnosed for years. Even small amounts of gluten can cause significant harm to those living with the condition.

That’s why creating safe, dedicated gluten-free spaces means so much to us. It’s not just about food - it’s about trust, inclusion, comfort and being able to enjoy something delicious without worry.

Tonight, we’re honoured to be providing treats for the “Light Up” event hosted by the Canadian Celiac Association British Columbia. Our team will also be attending the dinner, followed by a walk to the Legislature as it lights up green in recognition of International Celiac Awareness Day. 💚
