Can’t fully put into words the whirlwind it has been. We don’t usually do this but we’ve got a lot of new faces here, so let us reintroduce ourselves 👋
We’re kevin and Nikole, husband and wife duo who in 2016 started Boa Bakery with the goal of making breads we grew up eating and getting them in market. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. An obsession with making the products we love.
Up until 5 years ago we were a wholesale bakery. Then in 2021 we took a chance and bet on ourselves. We put everything we had and more into bringing our dream into reality. We opened our storefront in Binbrook! With the support our the community, we have been growing ever since. We now have a small staff of great local kids we’ve watched grow up into hard working young adults and being a huge part of Boa’s growth.
It’s never been a walk in the park. We’ve taken our fair share of L’s over the years but, we’ve learned from and grown from them. We aren’t perfect and won’t ever be but we will always give 100%.
Let’s get to the pizza part! We started doing Pizza on Fridays for staff meals then slowly grew to selling it between 4pm-6pm. After morning dough production and before bread baking,we had a little gap when pizza making took the stage.
Competing for the first time at the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, up against over 750 other world class pizza makers, was really for the experience and not expecting anything except a fun time, quickly turned our world upside down. Taking first place in two separate categories was the validation that we’re doing something right. Believe it or not we’ve had long conversations over the years about expanding our pizza program but never had the confidence to go through with it.
That being said, we’ve got a great team behind us and we’re all working extremely hard to get the next phase of boa in the works.
