You may not know this, but my toddler is deaf. 🦻
We found out just before his 2nd birthday and he was implanted just days before his brother was born.
He wears cochlear implants that help him access sound — my voice, bedtime stories… and yes, the mixer running in the kitchen while I bake.
Between batches of dough, we practice listening skills. We celebrate tiny wins most people would never notice.
It’s also why we’re moving into the city — so he can attend a school designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing children and have the support he deserves.
Behind every decorated cookie is a mama cheering on the smallest sounds that mean the biggest things.
Thank you for being part of our story 🤍🦻
