Cranberry Bars ✨

These little beauties come with a story. About 8 years ago, we took a road trip up to Haines Junction in the Yukon and stumbled across the coziest little bakery. One bite of their cranberry bars and I was hooked—perfectly sweet, just tart enough, and completely unforgettable.

Fast forward to reality… a flight from Ontario to the Yukon just to satisfy a craving wasn’t exactly practical 😅 So I got to work recreating them at home.
After lots of testing (and plenty of taste-testing), I finally landed on a version I love—and I’ve recently taken it up a notch by adding sourdough starter to the recipe. It brings a subtle depth of flavor that pairs beautifully with the bright cranberry filling.

They’re nostalgic, a little adventurous, and now a staple in my kitchen ❤️
