This one was extra special. ❤️

A very meaningful birthday cake created for someone who wanted to celebrate her special milestone while representing her deep love for Tamil Eelam and paying tribute to the martyrs.

She wanted me to bring together Karthigai Poo, Eelam, nature, and Iyakkam camouflage into one design.

The topper was inspired by the Tamil Genocide Memorial Monument, while the hand-painted scene was inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Tamil Eelam, featuring the iconic abundance of palmyra palm trees.

I wanted the Iyakkam camouflage to wrap around the other sides of the cake, symbolically representing a land that is protected and watched over.

Even though this was a small cake, I had a very specific vision for how I wanted every element to come together and I’m so happy that it turned out just the way I imagined. Most importantly, I’m incredibly happy that my client loved it.

This cake is a recreation of one of my most popular designs but this time with a gorgeous red saree, delicate sugar flowers and that beautiful vintage frame. 🌸❤️

Buttercream cakes rarely make it to my profile, but this beauty was impossible to ignore. Every detail, from the soft blush tones to the intricate vintage piping, came together so beautifully. It was simply too gorgeous to keep off my profile.
