Absolutely loved creating this stunning 80th birthday cake! A soft ivory ganache base with a green ombre, finished with delicate gold leaf detailing and those gorgeous gold "80" toppers.

The gorgeous fresh florals were sourced from the The Real Florist 💐.

And honestly, this is why we do what we do... the very next day the customer messaged to say the cake was DELICIOUS and her mum absolutely loved it 🥹💕 Nothing beats hearing that!

I’m incredibly excited and honoured to share that Cherry On Top Cakes has been named a Finalist in the 2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards – Bakery/Cake Business category! 🍒🎂

It feels extra special to be celebrating this moment while holding the trophy from my 2024 WINNER award — a beautiful reminder of how far this journey has taken me. ❤️

Mel's husband specially requested bright, bold colours for the books and vibrant roses to match her personality. 🌹✨

🚛 Happy 9th Birthday, Kassius! 🎉

When Kassius told us exactly what he wanted, he didn't leave much to guesswork, a blue and red Kenworth truck, and it HAD to be his to eat, all on his own, while everyone else tucked into the cake below! 😄 This little man already knows what he wants to be when he grows up, "a truck driver", so we knew this build needed to do him proud.

Every panel, every rivet, every little "KASS" detail on that cab was hand-sculpted and hand-painted to be 100% edible.

Cruising down its own little winding road, framed by patches of green bushland, this rig was built to feel like it was mid-journey, because for Kassius, this is just the beginning of the road ahead. 🛣️💙❤️

Wishing you a birthday as big and bold as your dreams, Kassius!

Sharing a closer look at this little rig, because the detail is where all the magic and hours went in! From the handcrafted panels and mirrors, right down to the tiny "KASS" nameplate up top, every piece was sculpted by hand to bring this Kenworth to life in miniature. 🔧🎨

Doesn't even need the cake next to it to tell a story, does it? Just look at the size of it in my hand, big personality, small scale! 😄

Can't wait to share the full cake reveal - but for now, we're just in love with this rig. 💙❤️

🤠 Yeehaw! HAPPY 40TH, TARA! 🤠

Grab your boots and saddle up - this one's got cowgirl energy from top to bottom!

We've been making a few hats this year, so this hat is fully hand-sculpted from rice crispy treats, covered in fondant and painted to get the worn-in cowboy hat look, right down to the leather band and buckle. The braided rope, the cow print, the belt and buckle detail - all hand crafted too 🧐✍️

Even the "wooden" cake board is hand crafted and painted to mimic timber planks, tying the whole rustic western look together.

Black, white and silver, done with a little edge, that we created this beauty a few weeks ago.

A rich chocolate cake, layered with chocolate buttercream, hugged in chocolate ganache and wrapped in fondant with a hand-marbled finish. Simple flavours, big presence 🎂
