Thanks to you lovely people for coming out tonight - so many beautiful faces!

The menu:

Baked salmon, capers, sun-dried tomatoes, chilli, roast spring veg.

Traditional ratatouille.

Baked ricotta and pumpkin salad with cherry tomatoes, basil, seeded mustard vinaigrette.

Gluten free apple crumble.

Washed down with a glass of good red (or two).

💫 Tonight 💫

Chef Kenny conjured up the feeling of spring emerging on the horizon after a cold winter with his bright and zesty dishes, full of colour, flavour and texture.

Grilled Barra with a fresh salsa verde, lemony oven baked baby potatoes; a chickpea, fennel and apricot tray bake with green beans; a broccolini, cherry tomato and rocket salad + a sticky date toffee pudding with his own butterscotch sauce.

All gluten free, all fresh, all delicious and if you missed out this week we’ll be back next Friday with another menu as fresh as the onset of spring 🌸

For those of you looking for extra fun this weekend, you can folllow Kenny to the The Rec Waroona where he’ll be playing live in his other life as frontman of Los Removalists

We are offering a particularly cosy menu with a rich beef spezzatino (an Italian beef stew pronounced - SPETZ-A-TINO - don't let us catch you ordering a spezateenoe), a cauliflower and lentil stew for you plant lovers, a roasted brussel sprout salad to get your greens and the much loved favourite - our chocolate, almond and hazelnut brownie.

Chef Kenny is back with a menu bursting with flavour, freshness and relief from having survived a house move in torrential rain and the occasional bout of hail.

Join him upstairs at the Fremantle Park Club from 5pm to dine in or takeaway. There is a bar open with strictly no BYO.

On Friday we had every intention of taking many photos of the dishes but it was too busy (thanks to all you lovely folk for your online orders and to those who wandered in to dine in).

The slow roast pork shoulder (pictured) was a hit - with some punters telling us they hadn’t eaten pork since the late 70s and were very pleasantly surprised at just how delicious this dish was - with its cider jus and spiced pumpkin mash.

The gf chocolate tarts were to die for, a rich dark chocolate ganache dressed with chocolate flakes and a side of vanilla ice cream.

Friday dinner is back on 14 August, but we have catering availability between now and then so reach out if you have a function or event you’d like us to cook for.

Four dishes, four distinct flavours and many possibilities for devouring them:

📍Book a table to dine in on Friday upstairs at the Fremantle Workers' Club (36 Ellen Street) no BYO, bar open (cheers to that)

You know you’re doing something right when Freo royalty comes to dine. The lovely Lynda AKA Little Treasures Hoopla Caravan (every Sunday at the Freo Farmers Market ) popped in and it was so lovely to see her lovely face, as well as the lovely faces of so many of our dear customers from another lifetime 🦅 thanks to each of you, it feels wonderful to reconnect ❤️
