350F; 25-30mins. grease and dust 8x8 pan

125g butter
----melt in saucepan
120g brown sugar
40g white sugar
----add to butter. remove from heat.
2 med eggs
----add one at a time
70g chopped dates
50g chopped pecans
----fold
110g flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
----sift dry ingredients and add to wet mixture. Gently fold until combined. DO NOT OVERBEAT.
