A little update from behind the scenes at Grease Monkey Baking Co. 💛
As many of you know, Grease Monkey is something I run alongside a full-time mining roster. Lately I've realised I need to make a small change to make sure I can continue creating cakes I’m proud of, while still having time to enjoy the parts of the business I love most – cookies, markets, workshops and getting creative in the kitchen.
From now on, custom cake orders will be available for pickup on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. This does not include any orders already booked!
I completely understand that living in Newman means many of us work lifestyle rosters, and celebrations don't always fall on weekends. If your event is during the week, don't stress! Most cakes will keep beautifully in the fridge for several days before they're cut into. They can also be wrapped and frozen if needed, making it easy to collect ahead of time and enjoy when the celebration comes around.
This change is simply about creating a more sustainable balance around my 8/6 roster and workload. The last thing I want is to reach a point where I can't give every order the care and attention it deserves.
