Okay, this is actually a little bit nuts 🥹😂

I found out yesterday that I’m a finalist for Customer Service Person of the Year… and then found out Cakes ’n’ Crumbs is ALSO a finalist for Best Sole Trader at the 2026 Newman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Excellence Awards 😭🥹

I genuinely didn’t expect to make the final three for either of them, let alone BOTH 😂

Cakes ’n’ Crumbs By Shanyah only turned one last month, and what started in my little home kitchen has somehow grown into all of this 🥹

I’m usually terrible at stopping long enough to actually acknowledge what I’ve achieved before moving onto the next thing 😂 but I’m letting myself have this one.

I’m really, really proud 🖤

Now I just have to make it through awards night without being a nervous wreck 😂🥹

34 chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with ALL the colours 😂

I wasn't sure how unicorns and dinosaurs were going to look together when we first started planning these, but they actually ended up being such a cute little mix 🥹

And I'm still obsessed with those tiny dinosaurs 😂

245 cookies for Newman Races 2026 🏇🤯

This one was a BIG week 😂

I made 125 custom cookies for East Pilbara Race Club, complete with their printed logo and stamped Newman Races 2026 details.

Then another 120 Paint Your Own Race Day Cookies for the kids' corner! Each one was individually boxed with an edible paint palette, brush and of course some sprinkles because apparently painting the cookie wasn't enough chaos 😂

And getting to actually be there and watch the kids paint them was probably my favourite part 🥹 Some of their creations were... very heavily sprinkled 😂 but they had an absolute ball!

245 cookies for one Race Day and I think I've officially seen enough cookie dough for a little while 😭😂

Two tiers of cake, 12 matching cupcakes and lots of blue, ivory and gold ✨

I hadn't done this style of buttercream before, so there was definitely a bit of experimenting happening in the kitchen 😂 but I really love how the rough gold edges pulled the whole thing together!

Something a little different for me and such a fun one to make 🥰

Of course when your mum makes cakes, you get to put in your very specific birthday cake request 😂 Love wanted Gabby Cat Fairylandia, so Gabby Cat Fairylandia she got!

Purple, pink and green, lots of piping, butterflies, her edible birthday image on top… and a whole heap of M&M’s hidden inside for the birthday girl to discover when we cut it open 😂🌈

There are definitely perks to having Mum as your cake lady 🥰
