Part 5 — Leaving Affects More Than the Owner
Sometimes a job simply isn’t right anymore.
People leave.
They should be able to.
But in a small business, a sudden departure rarely affects just “the boss”.
Someone else covers the shift.
Someone inherits the workload.
Production changes.
Customers notice.
Knowledge can disappear overnight.
There will always be circumstances where someone needs to leave immediately.
But where there is an opportunity to communicate, there is value in doing so.
Because good judgement isn’t only about what we are entitled to do.
It is also about considering how our decisions affect the people working beside us.
